Bizz / 4.3 Partnership Building Activity
GESOGED will be organizing Action 4.3 Partnership building activity on July 2010.
We are expecting to host two participants from each organization (projects responsible+youngster with fewer opportunities)
Since we are working on the youth field, we had many contacts with european collegues. Now, we want to come together to create a new project ideas with the contribution of the young people. Because all the projects that we are creating are mainly for young people and that's why we thought that while we will be exposing our new project ideas, young people should be present in that moment with their own ideas, comments and wishes.
That's why we put the project name "Biz" which means in turkish language "us" which also symbolize "synergy".
We will be using non-formal education tools such as role playing, workshops..etc.
Activities will last 5 days. We will experience, share, learn and have fun.
If you would like to be part of this project please contact

How to get to Balıkesir from Istanbul?
- The participants should fly to Istanbul. While at the airport, the participants can/should exchange some currency. Currency: Turkish national currency named Turkish lira (TL) and to have an idea of how is the exchange approximate 1 USD = 1.58 TL and 1 EUR = 1.9 TL. We recommend you to exchange just about 50 EUR. You might exchange the rest of your money here in Balıkesir because you can get a better rate here compared to the airport. You should have some Turkish Lira with you because most places don’t accept Euro.
- After you arrive at Istanbul airport, you will have to take a bus to Balıkesir.
- Getting a bus from Atatürk Airport is easy. You will take a train from the airport and come to a stop called OTOGAR. You will need to take the metro and get out in that stop. The metro works from 06.00 o’clock in the morning until midnight. There are trains every 5 minutes. You will have to buy a token to get into the train. The token costs about 1.50 Turkish Lira. (Less than 1 Euro).
- When you arrive to OTOGAR, just go upstairs. Right there you will see many bus companies traveling to Balıkesir.
- If you are coming to Sabiha Gokcen Airport, then you have to ask to some people over there how you can get a bus to Balıkesir.
- The recommended companies are: Nilüfer, Metro, Uludağ, Ulusoy, Kamilkoç. On the bus, don’t be afraid to accept the tea, refreshments and snacks, what the hostesses are offering to you – it’s for free!
- The ticket from Istanbul to Balıkesir costs less than 20 EUR (around 35 Turkish Lira). You can find a bus to Istanbul almost every hour from 06.00 o’clock in the morning until midnight.
- From Istanbul to Balıkesir, it takes around 6 hours by bus.
- If you have any difficulties or if you need any translation in Istanbul, you can just call the project coordinator: Gamze ADLI (0090 266 2413063(office), 00905459574443 (mobile).
